Growing up, the ice cream truck in our neighborhood had a sign that said “Slow Children At Play”. Whenever we heard the truck coming, my brother and I would start running around in slow motion so that we could be the slow children at play.

Years ago, working at a bank, the smokers were getting four or five ten minute breaks a day, but I wasn't getting any. So I brought some Bubbles and Bubble Wands with me, and started taking "bubble breaks" in full view of the CEO's office. My break was no more arbitrary than a smoker's break, but I was still surprised that I didn't get into any trouble.
