This is ridiculous. First of all, let's pull on the wisdom and experience of the older generation. Second of all, most positions are only 2-4 years, and many "old" people will live that long after a vote. What age are you going to pick? 65, 80, 90? There would be so many people that aren't going to be gone after they vote.

In France, my experience was that their English was very good, and they preferred to speak it then to listen to my french. Same experience with French exchange students.

In my experience, the extroverts and/or the ones that always have to "moving" are more likely to want to make plans and go out. I am an introvert and usually come home from work exhausted, so I have no desire to go do things with other people.

It lost its appeal when the internet and streaming became more popular. Who wants to go to a store when you have Netflix, Hulu, Etc.

It looks so uncomfortable though. Where are you supposed to put your legs? Can you really lean back comfortably? Unless everyone lays sideways, I don't think it works so well.

I thought people only had one, traditionally. I've only met one person that had more than one baby shower, but she immigrated to the U.S., so I thought maybe it was because of a different culture.
