Nope. Islam is about love, tolerance, and peace. Anyone who causes destruction in the name of Islam is not following the teachings of the religion.

A reformation wouldn't hurt

I feel Islam is in the same state of being now as Christianity was when it was about the same age. Just going through a shitty patch and provably will for a 100 or so years before mellowing out.

Christianity went through a lot of troubles, and opposition from media, and other popular outlets. There's still whackjobs marrying their relatives in the name of God in some of the more ,religious, of states in the US, but there has been some change to smaller branches of the faith. And even if the churches official policy doesn't change, there are plenty of people who work out for themselves that gay people are deserving of the same things irregardless. I say hard times for the forseeable future, but pleasant times will eventually happen.

How many more kids are going to be blown up before pleasant times happen?
Islam needs to more effectively police itself. If their neighbors and governments can't keep the bad ones in check, then we should kill the bad guys and their ilk as efficiently as possible.

I guess the problem is that really, one thing I need to admit, is that Islam is not necessarily one homogenous organization that agrees on everything, just like Christianity, or any other sect. Sure there are extremes, but becuase they're spread around, no one feels the need to go after the extreme examples, either out of fear for political correctness, or fear of backlash. Or they don't want admit that the extreme examples follow tenets of Islam.

Christians reformed a lot I think, I know Jews had a lot of reforming and there's lots of history on how they fought and stuff. Maybe Islam needs it
