Yes! Ex- insomniac here, everyone's different but what really helped me was watching ASMR, don't cross over to the sexual side though. I'd watch Gentle Whispering, she's beautiful and comforting. I also watched Bob Ross cause he's so chill and calming. I would sing until singing became too tiring, that didn't always work though. Making sure your environment is comfortable, somewhere you want to be and dark is essential to try and force your mind to sleep, don't go on technology at least 30mins before bed. Try giving yourself a face massage, take deep breaths and focus on the air going in and out and just keep doing it, I would do that for hours at a time and sometimes it would work. If it is a really big problem I would go to your doc and get some melatonin (that's what I had to do) and it just knocks you out which is really nice when you're struggling but don't become dependent on it. Hope so of these are useful, what stuff have you tried?

As long as something helped I'm happy and damn that sucks, there's stronger things you can take but you have to go to the doc to get a prescription for that

I like to read before bed, it gives me something to focus on and think about when I turn out the lights and try to go to sleep. It helps me not think about everything else (assignments, job searches, stuff that needs to get done, etc.), so it's less stressful.
Since melatonin doesn't work for you, you could always try a natural sedative that doesn't contain melatonin. You don't need a prescription for them, and they're made with various herbs. Of course since their not "real" meds, they're not as effective and like everything else they work better or some than others.
Taking a hot bath can also help you relax before bed.
I also like to listen to some music as I go to sleep. Again, it gives my mind something to focus on. My suggestion is to pick an album or playlist that you'll listen to only for sleep and every single night. Once it becomes very familiar it's easier to focus on, but not distracting enough to keep you from sleep.
