hey.. i wanted to post sometimes a few gif files, but everytime FS says "nope bro, your filesize is too big"..if you ask me, the filesize should at least be put up to 4-5mb.. not like 2mb.. OR we should be allowed to host the gif files by ourself (like imgur) and embed it here. it's annoying that we have to reduce the quality of gif's (which make them look horrible) to post them here at FS.

Raise the filesize of images too, and their wildth and length while we're at it

I've increased the max size slightly. My concern is that it will increase page load time especially for those using mobile data.

@Zeus did you REALLY increased the max size? because i wanted to upload a 3.02mb big gif and it said that the max size is 2.09mb.. exactly like before i asked for increasing the filesize.

Ok so there's an upload size limit and post size limit. I forgot to change the upload size limit. It's now at 5MB. However, it's quite unlikely that your 3MB GIF will compress enough to the post size limit.

@Zeus come on :'(... i want to upload a 2.9mb gif file and i get this error : "Image cannot be larger than 1.8MB" whats going on^_^*?..

it's now even less mb than before your change x_x

If you very much want to post that gif, send it to me. I can help you manually compress it. The problem with higher compression is that it takes too long to use in file uploads.

i could send it to you, but what if i want to share another gif? gifs i wanted to post are always like 2-3mb big.. so i could not post it even if i want to. i can't always annoying you & send you my gifs to post them at FS.. :P if you don't want to put the filesize higher, just say it to me.. it would be okay for me.

Maybe I'll increase it in the future when technology improves
