I don’t understand how everyone biases their view of the song on the one VEVO video.
Imagine the video never existed, then the listener will think that instead of Taylor getting her comeback, it is about her reaching her boiling point, Taylor couldn’t stand someone anymore, she has reached the point that she doesn’t want to trust anyone no more, and murder

Nah
Not the video or anything
The lyrics suck
''Look at what you make me do'' is a dumb playing the victim phrase
No one can make you do anything, you always have choices

Especially with the part about
“Maybe I’ve got mine but you’ll all get yours”
This represents that Taylor has been betrayed in a way, and how she doesn’t want to be in the spotlight of celebrity myths. She wants us to know she is aware of all this

Nah
Shes just a self-victimized snake
She needs to grow up, grow out of her bashing the exes style
I feel like she just trying too hard with the last album

It's saying 'look what you made me do' as in, 'look what you pushed me to do'. She isn't putting blame off herself, she's calling out that things around her pushed her to the brink.

Oh please
That's way way overdramatic.

I think John did it better

She's trying to be edgy. That's about it.

Ya, it is dramatic, but it's not pointless.
