Do you remember what the art looked like? Usually company's have signature art styles, like Disney and Ghibli for example, so it makes it easier to find the studio that produced it
diyrogue · 5 years ago
It reminded me of Disney but not enough to think it actually was Disney.

But like older disney. Think grainy headless horseman a bit ?

How old was she roughly? And how was she getting money? Did she work in the orphanage as well as living there or?
diyrogue · 5 years ago
I don't think it was a said but I think it was a " you need to work to pay your rent at the orphanage or you're getting kicked out " kinda thing and you'd collect debt and debt until you couldn't leave when you were legally allowed because you owed them money.
And she was like 18 ? And I think she worked in a factory making clothes or toys or something that was run by the orphanage ?

Anastasia?
diyrogue · 5 years ago
Nah, it was older than Anastasia and it was an orphan girl trying to buy her freedom

Tbh it almost sounds like it could be a spin on an oliver twist tale, but so far nothing I've come across matches what you're talking about

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Scarecrow_(2000_film) This is the movie you are looking. For
dash224 · 5 years ago
I found that too but op said it was older than Anastasia and that one’s not.
shurikkaru · 5 years ago
If you read the description OP will find that is exactly what they described.

I remember it looking older than Anastasia, I must've been wrong ? But most things before I hit 13 are a blur so I don't really remember much. But yeah I think this is is. Thanks shurikkaru !

It’s what I do. They are only 3 years apart, so I could see you confusing them

"Because she is lonely, the witch decides to bring her scarecrow to life after Polly leaves, using a magic feather to do so, which also allows a pessimistic mouse, Max, who lives in the Scarecrow's pocket, to talk."
When you actually step back from animated films and take them at face value, the amount of insanity used for plot points becomes much harder to ignore. Not that I have a problem with.
Still, idk how shurikkaru found that, but it does have all the things you mentioned in it, and a few animated scarecrows more to boot

Glad it was found, I was starting to get invested in finding it haha
Never seen that movie but now I'm curious so I might watch it
diyrogue · 5 years ago

xvarnah · 5 years ago
