Australian football is awesome. It’s actually even better if you dont know the rules at all. Depending on where you live there may be local Aussie rules leagues. There are a couple where I live, I found them on Facebook.

FOOTY! You wanna know the rules? I can tell ya. You wanna kick the footy in the middle of the four posts. That’s how ya get the most points. If ya kick it on the first or third gap of the four posts, ya only get one point. If ya miss, bad luck. Handballs are for short range where you punch the ball to yer teammate

Lol. I don’t want to know the rules! It’s way more awesome when you don’t! It just looks like chaos. When you don’t know the rules it just looks like “Calvin Ball” where everyone is making it up as they go along and it’s pure insanity. I love it.

Also, props to those players man...those fields are massive and they run up and down like it’s nothing...

AFL has 4 posts; league (nrl) has 2 and you can't forward pass amongst many other differences.

I always forgot there's people who don't know what footy is. Also NFL is rugby, AFL is footy. If you don't know how the game works it looks like a bunch of buff sweaty seagulls chasing a hot chip.

NRL is league, Union (another version) is rugby.
