They're not actually croissants, however. They're somewhat similar in appearance, but the taste is very different. They're a lot sweeter.

I hope we've learned something today. Animation is hard as shit. It takes so long to get the movement right, time things, add smear-frames if necessary, make everything smooth enough, keep it consistent, etc. It LOOKS simple, but it's NOT. This animator in particular had to draw nearly 300 pictures for only a 10-second animation.
I know how difficult it is. I animate for hobby. I'm not good at it, as I'm a self-taught artist and self-taught animator, but I still try. However, animating like this IS NOT EASY. I will probably never get to this level of skill for decades. This is obviously someone who has poured their entire life and dedication into their career, and I respect them so much for that. It's exhausting, difficult, and stressful. But it inspires hope in so many people to see finished animation with so much hard work put into it. And that's what makes it worth it.

That's understandable, but the art never says anything about /domestic/ abuse. It could just be abuse. The title says domestic abuse, though, but that could be wrong.

@mrscollector It's the other way around. The parent seems to be abusing the kid, and trying to use a lollipop or some sort of gift to make them keep quiet, along with the threat.

From what I see in his body language, he likely was just playing roughly, and his owner called him inside with "Treat" or "Cookie" or something of the sort. However, the timing of the gif makes it comical, since it looks like he was caught doing something he shouldn't have done, and is embarrassed.
A truly embarrassed collie, however, will put his ears down and wag his tail gently, sometimes shuffling. It's pretty funny.

I have a collie who does the same thing. His name is Samson. He'll always play roughly with his toys and get really into it, but if he sees someone watching, he gets embarrassed and pretends he wasn't doing anything.

I really hate emojis. I've never seen a need for them. I understand some uses, like moms who like them because they're cute, but most of the instances they're used these days are so cancerous.
