People like me who have bad grades (whether it be struggling or just loss of motivation) tend to have parents who religiously check their grades online. This often results in interrogation for why the grades are so low.
A common excuse is that the teacher/professor just didn’t update the grades for individual assignments yet, causing the overall semester grade to drop really low. Some teachers are actually like that with not updating assignments, which causes the lie to work for a bit while you get your shit together, but the jig is up after a while.

I’d like to think the eighth puppy is the souls of all seven puppies who passed in the fire reincarnated into one dog. They all came back to see her again as an extra pup in the litter. <3
