That is assuming addition is separate from subtraction. It is not. You add and subtract at the same time. PE(M-and-D)(A-and-S) says 14.

Order of operations? Okay... 1*0=0. Easy. What's next? PEMDA... Addition. Now it's 10-6 when you add up the ones. Lastly, we do subtraction. PEMDAS says 4.
