Or just naturally fast growing hair? When I kept mine long, I was able to chop off 10 inches and donate it every 12 months, like clockwork. Now that I keep it short, I have to go to the barber about once a month to have an inch or so taken off. It's completely feasible.

Not IMO. Cat bites are worse because they're much more likely to set up infection than dog bites. I lost a fingernail due to a cat bite and have only had punctures from dogs. But, in all reality, both kinds of bites downright suck.
