Cops are human too. You kill a man's brother, he's gonna make you pay for it in blood.

The joke is how willing we are to drug up our kids for not sitting still, and yet very obvious bad seeds are treated with kid gloves because the people in power fear confrontation.

True story. The only snipers that can even try to compete with Canadians are American, even though the British held the record for longest confirmed kill, last I heard.

But we can't. It's illegal to take guns to the places where the shootings happen. That's why those places are targeted in the first place.

I've talked to cops, soldiers, and private security. I think they would know better, never mind my own experiences.

Deterrence does work. But a sign is hardly any kind of deterrence.

Assault rifles are illegal to common citizens.

That landmine was specially designed to be less lethal.
It would blow your toes off so that your squad had to dedicate men and resources to evacuation and aid, thus denying those men and resources from being on the battlefield.

But neither are anywhere near as foolproof as a .45.
Schizophrenia and similar afflictions give some resistance to pepper spray and tazers. Nevermind that pepper spray meant for spitting distance, and tazers aren't much better, but are also single shot.

But everone COULD be packing. That is where the deterrence factor comes in. Those state restrictions on a CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT are part of the problem. They only create soft targets.
Shooters love soft targets because they cannot fight back, allowing them to inflict even more devastation with ease. Everyone carrying means that ANYONE could IMMEDIATELY stop the shooter, saving lives and denying them infamy.
And I know public carry is tricky business, but I have never heard of the founders wanting to keep arms restricted to regulated militias. That goes against both the era, because the average person needed weapons to provide for themselves, but also the intention of deterring tyranny. Keeping it restricted to regulated militias only gives the feds first strike capability, where they could target the regulated militia officers and armories to decapitate and disarm resistance before it can even start, like the British tried to.

In 1824 the Supreme court decided that Congress has authority over anything that effects another state. The case was originally over commerce, but it's been expanded since then.
As I've said on other threads, we'd be a lot better off enforcing the laws already on the books than writing new ones.

Etc consisted of sabotage, assassination, abduction, and other fun things.
But the boots wore out really fast, so they started to save them for special occasions after a while.
