There's actually a lot of book stores in my city. The one a block away from my house just closed though, so they had a sale, so I got like 30 books for 2$
Imagine if you got married, and had lots of children and grandchildren, then you could pull out the old book and say: This, kids... This is the book that started it all.
I've had a boy do this to me actually. We had this performance thing in New York and this boy from the dance group (I'm in choir) started acting all shy and offered to buy a book for me in the airport before we went home to Malaysia. I turned it down though because it was pretty expensive, but it was so sweet of him!
The reason this doesn't happen is beause women shouldn't expect men to buy them things in the first place, unless they are already dating, otherwise it is just taking advantage of them. Also most women hate it when you offer to buy them anything when you don't know them, something about "feminism" and the supposed "patriarchy".
I'm a woman and I love books. If you want me to love you, you need to feed my love of books. Don't tell me what I should or shouldn't do when it come to men wanting to buy me books. BOOKS!!! And what's this "taking advantage of them" bullshit? We're talking about grown men trying to prove themselves worthy out of all the other grown men by showing their love of books to another bookreader and potential mate. Who are you to take that away?
