I am thinking about how I would react to that situation, and I can't come up with a clear idea, all I can think of, is I would walk the other way and fall off the plane.
But tornado wind speeds are generally MUCH higher than hurricanes. I think hurricanes can generally reach about 75mph wind speeds, whereas tornadoes can have speeds over 300mph...so I don't think its quite right to think just because we fly planes through a hurricane that we'd do the same for a tornado
The planes fly over the storms, into the stratosphere, where there are not any clouds, where it is safe from the hurricane. I just dont see why people think that the same cant be done for a tornado.
