For multiples of 9

I was told that the answers always added up to 9.

If you plus the numbers standing next to each other the answer should be 9

And the first digit of the answer must be what you are multiplying 9 by minus 1

Just look at your hands and put down the finger for the number you are multiplying by 9. the # of fingers before that finger are the first number and the ones after are the last.

My teacher taught me this.
