Fashion, makeup, hygiene, dietary "advice" and supplaments... If the vast majority of women that are victim to this were to realise that they are not human to these people, that they are a market with investment return and stop trying to shoehorn themselves into some mass media fake ideal... the backlash could probably cause another recession.

I say this as a man because there are serious emotional and psychological effects that trickle down to us as well. Reassurance that they "look great" taken as a lie, wrongful accusations every time there is a "ten signs that your man is *fill in the blank* article or Oprah episode and trying to pull them out of a harmful health practice amid protests of "but Oprah/Dr. Oz/famous person said."
