In Ferguson there was black people saying the whites were racist. When the reporter said that they were racist, they said black people can't be racist. You think I'm joking but that was legit.
Some people actually think that only white people are racist because people like to point it out more among them.
Even though every other race has a history of racism amongst their groups and others.
I've actually gotten called racist for being white. But, like, only by people I've never spoken to.
So it kinda irks me when people ( namely tumblr people ) say all white people are oppressive, even though I'm just second generation American in my family.
Tell that to the black man harassing two Pakistani Muslims at the train station. The poor woman was in tears. (Until I called the black man a racist and hit him with my cane! tee hee.)
As a white person I've been treated horribly at Hispanic and Black grocery stores. The Hispanic grocery store tried to charge me more for groceries, and the other store was horribly rude. Asian grocery stores, however, have been great.

I'm a cultural minority. I feel entitled to my rights, but I don't blame other people or my country's history for my problems. I work for what I have and I enjoy what I earn. Yeah, sure, some people have more than me because of something their grandparents or great grandparents did, it doesn't mean I should put them down for it, they did nothing wrong. And as for safety, I'm pretty sure its the cultural minorities that are responsible for most of the crime in their chosen country.

Hello, I didn't know you knew me or my life. Oh waitz you don't. If you did though, you'd know I was white and was born and raised in a town that had like 2 other white families. I lived on a street with lots of Thai people and went to school with mainly black kids and Mexicans. And elementary school was HELL for me because I was picked on and herded out by everyone. I even had a few teachers who treated me like a criminal.
My mom had to take me to another school because she didn't want me going to a highschool where another sibling wasn't allowed to take a book home because the teacher didn't like white kids.
And I know this isn't everywhere in the U.S. but you're talking about white privilege yet I've never had special treatment from anyone for my race.
So I'm sorry if I laugh at a joke about race even though I've faced racism myself.

This is exactly like saying "oh i can't be racist cause i have black friends" just because you lived with other ethnicities doesn't mean your educated or aware of what racism really is, as is shown by you laughing at an obviously racist joke.
