They make each season to play more like a movie than a TV show. Each season is about the length of the extended edition of Return of the King

I want to start watching Sherlock, but I don't want the pain of having to wait for the next episode. I'll just stay in the supernatural fandom for now.

I just started watching Sherlock. I'm done with the first season, but I was surprised there are only 3 episodes in each season. At least the episodes are an hour and a half long. Great show. I recommend it and I'm not a big fan of brit tv at all. I do love Martin Freeman though.
