Albinism in animals usually results in pink eyes because of visible blood vessels, but in humans eyes, they are usually pigmented with a very light blue color. Red or pink eyes in human albinism is a rare occurrence. Albinism does not always mean no pigment at all, merely the very limited production of melanin, which pigments the hair, skin and eyes.
