Most people prefer the convenience of electric stoves now days, I actually have both electric and gas ranges, the gas one is in a small one room building attached to my barn that I sometimes use in the winter if it snows too much for me to get back to my house, while the electric one is in my house.
Gas stoves make for a much better cooking experience, and ours has a safety feature on it that if the gas goes for like 3-5 minutes without being lit, it will automatically turn off.
If it goes on for 3 min without being lit your house will still prolly explode if you light it though. Gonna be like Kevin hart in ride along when he doesn't light the BBQ immediately after turning on the gas
At the rate the gas goes, there is no freaking way that it can fill up my whole house in 3 minutes and cause an explosion. Also, gas is awesome, because even though we have an electric ignition on ours, if the power goes out, we still have the ability to use our stove, just not the oven portion, as the oven has a safety feature that prevents the gas from coming on until the electric plug is enough to ignite it. Trust me, they took precautions. #gasalltheway
That one reason why I still have a gas stove, power failures are common especially in the winter, and while I do have backup power its too expensive to run constantly.
