Unless you have a use for one (ranch animals, hunting, disability assistance) or the entire day to dedicate to one, don't buy a dog. They're not toys. They're not yard decorations. They're not burglar alarms. They're not objects to compensate for your mental or personality deficits. They're pack animals that need almost constant companionship and leadership. Don't get one simply because you "want" one. It's cruel.
I care for my dog when he needs me and gave him a better life than he could have ever dreamed of, surrounded my loved ones. I'm sorry that you don't believe that animals are capable of being loved my and that we should only get one if we plan to exploit it for our own personal gain. Maybe you should set yourself on fire. Your heart might warm up a bit
You implied it when you said that you should only adopt animals if you have a need for one... I know you have a hard time understanding your own stupidity so I'll explain it. Animals that don't get adopted get put down. Even PETA does it. So advocating that you should get an animal unless you need is essentially advocating for the death of little puppies
