A company in Panama helped people to hide money in the country by creating false companies. The main reason for it, it was so the people creating the companies didn't have to pay as many taxes as they would normally have to. Some of the people involved with it are: David Cameron, Argentina's president and some of the leaders of the Chinese Communist Party; but of course there are many more.
This scandal was discovered by a large number of periodists all over the world working together to get the list that involved these famous people, and them studying it and publishing it.
