Sex Ed in the US usually amounts to "Don't" with no mention of anything else, especially not of the opposite sex. Heck, I'm not even sure if the girls learn about menstruation in school.

When I was in high school we learned the stages, but not what to expect. So the boys had absolutely no idea. And that's apparently progress from a few years before that. It's like people are afraid of what happens when everyone knows about their bodies.. it's kinda super weird.
My experience with sex ed is learning the same basic thing every year for a couple weeks for 5th-9th grade. Then it is never spoken about again. Usually the guys only pay attention to guy stuff and girls pay attention to theirs. So specific details about the opposite sex' reproductive functions- if ever talked about -are soon forgotten

Let's also not forget the parents who pitch a fit at the thought of their child learning things about this, and so many parents to the point the education in the whole community is so diluted people don't know what to expect or how to be safe.
Which is ONE of the reasons my children went to private school. They even went to a very strict religious school where girls had to wear shirts covering elbows and knees. But they got a darn good education.
The point is, even my son knows all about menstruation, not just my girls.

Yea. I mean regardless though I feel like parents would be smart to educate their children. But that's their decision whether to do so or not, just my kids will for sure know how things work for both genders. It's important
Bullshit. He's married, his wife would have told him, not some intern.

Idk. My grandpa didn't know much about it at all until pretty late in the marriage game. He's one of the "ohh, I don't need to hear about that" any time something minor happens, and so if there was never a conversation, it's somewhat believable. I'm still skeptical, but considering how some marriages go, especially when one person is severely uneducated on a topic, I have to entertain the possibility
