Is this a thing? I'm pretty sure it's a thing with tech people

I always keep the boxes that my tech comes in. Just in case I want to sell it later when I don't need it.

I still have my PS2 box in my room.. the good old memories.

Isnt that what lofts are for...?

Keeping the boxes will save a lot of time with insurance if you ever get robbed.
Just saying.

It is of course a matter of space and ultimately rent, but keeping the original packaging seems to be the only sensible alternative. Any warranty, let alone detailed information, seems unobtainable without it.

I keep all the boxes for games, consoles, special items, laptops, headphones, like everything. It takes up so much space. Some of the stuff is required to keep though for warranty reasons. The rest is in case we sell sometime in the future, the original packaging never hurts
