So what? If it ain't someone's disadvantage, I wouldn't call that selfish. EVERYONE wants to be happy. If it makes him happy to not have kids, why should he be blamed?

Selfish means to act without consideration for others for pleasure. How is enjoying your own life selfish? It's not like you're obligated to have kids. Having kids is completely up to you in the civilized world. I don't understand the idea of being obligated to have kids for some mysterious reason.
