I think it was more like... "No... I swear! I've seen it... we take these annoying specks and we put them back into the ground and we will have WAY MORE! BELIEVE ME!" And then they kill that guy... try it anyway and they all collectively just "eh, whoops".

actually, it was a woman who found out about farming. she was tossing out old grain that wasn't edible anymore, and the next time she went to throw out old grain, there were plants growing.

i know.. and my point is teachers are fallable, meaning when citing a source they are about as trust worthy as "the dude across the hall".
