I worked at a bookstore (with a large specialty religious section, but not necessarily a religious bookstore) next to the only bar in town that held gay night, and watched them draw swastikas on our windows.
It's an isolated anecdote, I know, but it does happen.

Would gays be more accepted if they didn't act stupid and create a scene all the time or would there still be a sort of prejudice towards them? Just wondering.
