To be fair, there's the two moons in elder scrolls and I'm pretty sure a few planets that were the aedra?

No the Aedra and Daedra created Nirn. Masser and Secunda, the two moons, were also created by these deities. The stars you see at night are holes in the fabric of space and time that show Aetherius, the home of the Aedra.
Also, we can't squander money on a planet we don't even have great footing on yet.
