My mom was asking the details about something my dad was talking about buying me, and i didnt know if she talked to my dad, so before answering her question i said, "oh dad was already talking about buying me this, thank you tho". She got angry and started talking to me aggresively, saying, "i know that already, im asking you the details" (her words werent so aggresive but her tone was) so i said, "idk why youre being aggresive but okay". And she said (in an equally aggresive tone) "im not being aggresive so watch your mouth", like i said something disrespectful, when in reality, she doesnt like to face the fact that she acts like a bitch
^same, the other day my sister got all bitchy at my nephew because he was asleep in the room her computer was in and it was on the floor, and my mom tried explaining to her that our dad put him in there so it could have been him since my nephew was asleep the whole time, and she was like " I WAS JUST ASKING YOU DON'T HAVE TO ATTACK ME " while she was acting like she was 100% it was my nephew and he was just lying or something and making his stutter worse and getting mad when he took too long to reply

I was explaining some tech shit to my uncle and he just said I raised my voice at him
So you know what i did afterwards
Raised my fucking voice at him so he knew what real attitude is like
My mom shut up about attitude the day I finally snapped back, "Well, I had to pick it up from *somewhere.*" I didn't notice until weeks later that she'd - well, she hadn't stopped being hypercritical and insulting, I guess she just decided it was easier to stop ragging on *me* about it than to actually try to help her child learn social skills.
