It's terribly sad, isn't it? Loosing your dog. It leaves such a gaping whole in your life. Not calling him for a walk, not seeing him coming in the room. It's awful.
This reminds me of my dog, who passed away late last year. For 16 years, she was always there. Even in her last days, she still tried to keep everyone happy. I will always miss her. A pet, no matter what it is, isn't a pet, that's just a fancy name, they are part of your family. They just don't happen to be human, and that's ok.
