A difference of 1C is 9/5 F, almost 2. The scale of C is almost twice as large as F which means that it's more imprecise. It's like measuring the size of a bed using centimeters, meters, and kilometers. Centimeters is the most precise whereas one bed is basically 0 km. Obviously it's more but it's hard to tell how much more than zero.
Exactly, you could easily have a temperature of 22.5 degrees celsius

And objects such as beds, at least during construction, are generally measured in millimetres, ten times as precise as centimetres. Pretty much any construction is measured down to millimetres.

I'm pretty sure they used metric, as they worked with many people from metric countries.

We used imperial. A number of astronauts were American military pilots. Trained in flight with the imperial system. We will land on Mars (eventually) with metric. But we won the space race with imperial.

Probably. It was still a primarily American enterprise, so it'd be easier to have the handful convert rather than the majority. Specifications of American space vehicles of the time typically have imperial listed first, with metric in parentheses, while modern ones like the Shuttle and Orion have it switched, so odds are they were made with imperial specifications. I only toured (and technically, if I stretch the truth a little, interned at) JSC, I didn't work there in the 60s.

You're forgetting that the metric system has also been used countless of times to get to the moon and beyond. Just because it was used in the 60's and 70's doesn't mean we should all now down to its inferior structure. Metric is much better in every way. As it has already been pointed out: scientist already learn metric in the US. Why? Because it's more coherent and better. So far your only argument is "we used it to do that". We used to live in sheds and use bows and arrows and survived. Doesn't mean we should do it again because it once worked.

No, you just think I forgot. In case you haven't figured it out yet: I'm not arguing on this. I did. Jokingly with one comment. Real with one comment. Then I dropped it. After looking into the matter, it seems that metric has been used for space missions most times afterwards. The first man in space was got there by metric.
NASA has been trying to change to metric in the 80's and 90's, and now they use mostly metric unless it has been just Americans.
The moon landing was indeed done using whatever you want to call the system.
The problem is that people know a weight in pounds but have no idea what that would be in kg. (Also Fahrenheit vs Celsius . They know 100 degrees F is hot but what is 30 degrees C? Cold? Hot?..)
So basically what you are saying is that the problem is people don't know the metric system.

The only one of these that has a similar impact in daily life as the imperial system is driving on the left, so that makes it the only valid point. Granted, it would be easier if the whole world drove on the same side of the road, though I think it was proven that driving on the left side is better for right handed people (something to do with which hand steers and which hand operates the gear stick I think). So if we truly want to be as sensible as possible, we should be like Britain and India and so on. (Note that in my country people drive on the right so I'm not forcing my system on others)
Also, we won't change for you? Almost all western countries have been heavily influenced by American culture. We already changed for you, time for you to return the favour
Not to mention that anyone who takes up a scientific profession does learn metric. They're called SI units for a reason.
Namely because they used the French term for 'international system.'

Not gonna try and say "well, you just misinterpreted it. This is what I really meant," or something. You pushed and forced capitalism on many countries after the second world war. Instead of letting them choose for themselves there was a lot of money going to establish capitalism in many Asian countries as well as Greece and some other European nations. I'm pretty sure military action counts as forcing. And before you say communism never worked: that's not what I'm arguing against. I'm just saying that's one thing you heavily forced upon large parts of the world.
