Well, he was right while you are wrong-ish. Plenty of people want to kill the police. A large section of those members are black and are more likely to wish to kill the police, but the way you said it made it seem like wanting to kill the police was an inherent trait of all black people.

And the way he made his statement is all conservative Christians want expanded use of capital punishment. Tit/tat. I happen to oppose capital punishment as do all of those other evil Christians that protest outside the prisons every time there is an execution.

Saying "It's a widely-held belief of the fundamentalist segment of conservative Christians" just doesn't have the same ring to it.

Don't get me wrong, I don't support the death penalty for a few reasons, but I've heard plenty of Christians demand it.

It's not the age, it's the reason behind the killing. An unborn child or an embryo did nothing wrong or hurt anyone in the world. Not that I'm against abortion or anything, but I'm absolutely against wars for any reason.

so if another country invaded your country you don't think that'd be a good time for a war? Offensive wars should be avoided at all costs, agreed, but with defensive wars your hand is kind of forced.

And let's be honest, sometimes a regime just needs to get toppled. Our mistake is usually not waiting for the new regime to consolidate itself before we leave.
