He didn't prove that he was intentionally framed, only that he didn't commit the crime. You'd need a second trial to lock somebody else up.

but if someone is accused of something he's is not guilty of, shouldnt be the accuser be punished for falsifying in court and disrespecting?

There's no way of knowing that is what happened.
Maybe the guy looked like the criminal and was mistakenly implicated. Maybe the evidence added up but he was at the wrong place at the wrong time. Maybe he actually did the crime, but managed to convince the new jury that he didn't.
