And to be fair, they DID just march into land they hadn't occupied in over a millennium and announce that only *they* had full legal rights to live there now, backed by a small but powerful set of nations a few thousand miles away, and they claim to be a democracy while slowly forcing members of any but the majority few cultures into underpoliced, overisolated ghetto-like spaces, so they're like mini-America!
OP, you're applying logic to an emotional and political issue. For most people, it feels good to feel bad for yourselfe. Imagine a person coming home and complaining about something at work to his S.O. The S.O. gives them suplort and typically affirms that persons feelings ("you're right, you're boss is a jerk"). Thay type of interaction gives the person a small burst of feel-good, which is why people continue to complain and gossip.

This basic human desire to be a victim to something is so common and strong that people in power use it to appeal to voters for the purpose of gaining votes and staying in power.

"Those liberals are trying to take away your fundamental freedoms, so join me to stop them!"
Or
"Those conservatives only care about money and they're willing to destroy our planet to get it, so join me to stop them!"
In other words:
"you are all victims, you should feel sorry for yourselves, and you need me in order to feel better!"
In reality, "liberals" dont want to give up their freedoms any more than anybody else. And "conservatives" sure dont want to destroy the only planet they live on.

But because there is a constant struggle for power, artificial lines are drawn and a belief that you have to be either one or the other is pumped out out as far as possible.
This question makes no sense. "Cruel," "evil," and "greedy" are adjectives, not comparatives or superlatives. This is like if somebody says "the sky is blue" and you ask "compared to what?"
