Relationships quite often find us when we don’t want them, and often escape us when we do. They may genuinely have not wanted a relationship, and then... something happened. They met the right person and the circumstances were right so that person could get into their life and past their defenses, and before they knew it they cared about them, saw that th person “fit” their life and could overcome those objections, and now they are in a relationship. Perhaps there was a friend, acquaintance, or someone they knew, trusted, and cared about and those feelings naturally blossomed and then boom. Who knows? There’s always a reason a person doesn’t want a relationship. They have an idea what a “relationship” is like based on what they’ve experienced. The time, challenges, whatever aspect that they just don’t want to or feel they can’t deal with. But if someone shows them something different, or can work around those things- there you are. These things happen. Don’t take it personal.
