Pay to flush? Why not just pour a bucket of water down the toilet to manually flush it rather than shitting on your own floor which you'd have to clean up anyway

Pouring water down it won't work as the mechanism that initiates the flush is locked by the coin thing

Pouring water into the bowl will force the flush. The locking mechanism is in the tank, so just skip the tank.

But then you need a bucket of water every single time you use the toilet. Kind of an inconvenience especially if you pay for water.

Unless there's a lock on the tank lid, you can always lift the lid and pull the chain to flush it manually.

Its still less of an inconvenience than using the floor. And given there is usually a bathtub in the same room its not too tedious. And yes, I know this from experience. My grandparents had a "camp" that the tank didn't work on tge toilet so we had to manually flush.

paying to use the public toilet? totally normal in germany but usually the payment system is at the door.
