I never really got how people could be so casual when talking about how their parents used to literally beat them.
Like aye this is a funny meme and all but I feel like if being beaten by a parent four times my size was a regular thing growing up, any chance of my parents being taken care of when they're old would just go out the window by default. At least.
Could be wrong, but I think that you and I come from different cultures. In my culture, putting your parents in a home or not taking care of them is simply unheard of. It's seen as something utterly reprehensible.
Sure, my parents physically disciplined me when I was growing up, but that's just how it is. I don't hate them for it.
Although, I must say, physically disciplining your child and beating your child are two seperate things.
