YES. or, just as bad, in movies tv and literature, when they do the same to try and make their content more “inclusive”. do not get me wrong; i do not have anything against lgbtq+ poc characters, but just make sure they’re an actual CHARACTER. i want well written roles in my stuff that i can engage with and carry meaningful arcs, not a character whose entire schtick is that they pander to a demographic by being as flamboyantly of that demographic as possible (also not to say that i have anything against flamboyance; Klaus in Umbrella Academy fucking ROCKS and i just really hope they handle Elliot Page’s character’s transition with grace).
Klaus is the best part of TUA so you should be proud. Also, I second the point on Elliot's transition. Without getting too spoilery, it was done in such a way that seemed natural
