Well guest, Im sorry to say this is not the only messed up original version of a fairytale. In Rumplestilskin he rips himself in half at the end, in Cinderella one stepsister cuts off her toe and one cuts off a chunk of her heel to make her fit fit in the slipper and at the end they get their eyes pecked out by birds, also the father was alive and hated Cinderella. Little Red Riding-hood eats her own Grandmother, and the prime in Sleeping Beauty was a king who found her and had sex with her while she was asleep and she woke up 9 months later to have twins. In the original Repunzal, the witch moves Repunzal to a different place and the prince gets so sad he jumps off the tower to try and kill himself and on the way down gets his eyes scratched out by bushes but still lives and after wondering around for 3 years found repunzal in the desert, with his 2 children, and in the Little Mermaid, the little mermaid dies at the end.
To the guy who said that the Rapunzel one is not true, I suppose I can't say for sure that's the very original version since I don't have particularly good memory, but the original book of Grimm's Tales For Young and Old has that version, so it's at least one of the original. (I'm the same guest who posted the original long winded paragraph. But trust me, I left out quite a few.)
In real life, idiot. In the Disney one she's supposed to be 18 because the real guy was like 24, seems better to have a 24 year old marry an 18 year old than to marry an 11 year old.
