I'm all for seatbelt laws but if someone wants to kill themselves I say let them do it. Stupid is as stupid does. I think a seatbelt citation should only be used as a fuck-you piggybacking fine on top of something else like drunk driving. Same with just-under-legal bald tires: using them as the primary reason for ticketing someone is mean. It should be used as a kick in the balls for some other offense, not as an offense by itself.

To be fair, most insults nowadays are combinations of previous ones. It's hard to come up with a completely original one that can carry the same bite.

An additional factor is the attitude druggies have towards drugs.
