The same goes for my Dad. He would tell me that his grandfather would make him kneel for HOURS on bottle caps, or the rocks outside during the summer of the Texas heat when he was getting "disciplined" and that's why he taught HIS kids how to correctly discipline... And that's not even the worst he got... Now, I'm not saying that your mom went through a field of daisies OR through the 5th layer of Hell compared to my Dad because I'll never know, but the point is, that in THIS age, the patents that DO discipline their kids (not the ones who beat the sh*t out of them) do so in the form of spanking/ swatting/ whatever....

Woah, Woah, Woah..... If you're disciplining the child right, a "spanking" wouldn't be "assult" it would be just that, DISCIPLINE... There's ALWAYS a very VERY fine line between discipline and abuse....

Thank you. I guess I put too much thought about people getting up in arms about me letting a child believe in (what I heard it called before) a "fairytale man" instead of teaching her "science". I'm not forcing her to do anything EXCEPT the right thing and that is her being a decent human being.
