Yup, goes both ways. Feelings are complicated, you win some you lose some. But you can't expect people to always put your feelings in front of theirs. Also, owning up could also mean not denying it, you can say that your trauma caused it sure, but did you do it? Yeah. You don't like someone who treats you badly because of trauma? Sure. Can they still treat you badly? Yup. Also, just how bad of a behaviour are we talking about? Because famousone just straight up said dysfunctional human being.
