Firstly--i am a white female. One time at work (I've worked in retail for about 2 years) I was ringing up a black woman's items. We keep coupons under the register but are only allowed to give them to customers if they ask. Before I was ringing her items up, i was helping her shop and she asked if I had a coupon and I told her I did, but she wasn't ready to check out for some time after that. Anyway, I forgot the coupon (happens often unless the customers reminds me) and she accused me of withholding it because I was racist. She had this whole speech about how i lied to her...i just forgot her coupon. After that I went to the break room and sobbed.
