It's important to realize though how much it would suck for anyone, male or female, to think they made a friend or met someone who shares their interests, and then be completely ghosted when that person realizes you don't see them in a romantic/sexual way. At least communicate before you drop people

Because if you're trapped in the house with an abuser, you don't want them hearing you watching a TV show about domestic abuse resources. The same reason all the websites for those resources have panic buttons that redirect to Google, or food delivery sites.
