I use android, and USB-C but I honestly think the Lightning is a better design.
In usb-c you can ruin the little connector inside the port. Then you are fujt.
But the lightning you can only ruin the cable..
Fewer parts to ruin.

Well, this can't be solved without a trick.. the question states that you use the following "(1,3,5,7,9,11,13,15)" this includes (), and a comma. If you read it like that the math gets a lot easier. Ex 11,7 + 15,3 + 3 = 30. Or you can use factoral like geekoverlord wrote.
