I think cats imitate our habits. If you have a religious habit that you follow, your cat is likely to join you. Like the Muslim family that got their cat a prayer rug because he kept joining them during prayers

I go most of the winter without shaving, and really only shave when I'm planning on wearing shorts. It just irritates my skin and the constant itching isn't worth it
