That's because with cooking, it's about imparting flavors. With baking, it's about the chemical reactions within the food to give it a certain quality.

That husky needs more outside exercise time. If they aren't properly mentally and physically stimulated they do get destructive, out of pure boredom. Kind of like my 4 1/2 year old child, actually.

Either that or drunk. John Leguizamo has said he and Bob Hoskins were both almost always hammered while making Super Mario Bros. But then again, if I was making that dumpster fire of a movie, I think I'd be drunk all the time, too.

I view it like this: If it's a one time thing, and there is genuine regret, I can forgive it. It is still not good, but I could deal with it. If it's an extended affair, or multiple other people, it would be over.

The flooding is what kills the most people, though. 90% of people killed in a hurricane are killed either by the storm surge, or due to rain-induced flash floods.

If you are a good DM, you'll tell the barbarian he doesn't need to roll to pet a freaking dog. He can just pet the damn thing. Nothing drives me more crazy than a player asking if they can roll to do something. You shouldn't be thinking about the dice as a player. Always assume you can do something until the DM tells you to roll or tells you it's impossible.
Sorry, had a little D&D rant saved up there. Been DM'ing for an inexperienced group. It's been frustrating. Rewarding, but frustrating.

It says "as much as you can". For some people, it might not be much, or far. But if you take the time and effort to save up, anyone can get enough money to go on a short road trip.
