F1 is cool because of the engineering put into the cars. I'd say it's worth it. Besides, they run on other things. Aeroplanes which people fly on seem to be a bigger waste.

I only found out when I started watching an anime in which all the characters wore a military uniform. Then I saw some really accurate cosplays.
