No. They did not want any land. They only wanted goods. Which is why they traded peacefully in many places. In the British Isles they took from unguarded churches. They pillaged plenty if places, but in some places they bulit camps which became towns.

In grade school there was thing where if you took off your friendship bracelet the friendship would be over. I had so many dirty bracelets, and my mum cut them all off. I remember crying and thinking it was all over.
